MUNICIPAL WATER UTILITY SCADA UPGRADE2019-12-30T20:11:24+00:00

Project Description

Overview

In conjunction with Olsson Industrial Electric and Olsson Controls, OS Engineering upgraded a Water Utility’s SCADA system from the existing RSView32 program to new Ignition by Inductive Automation in March of 2018. This upgrade included the integration of several existing detached sub-systems into the Ignition program (water quality compliance report viewing and management, on-call alarm notification roster configuration, and daily operator log). The OS Engineering team designed over 80 control screens for utility components including wellfields, treatment plants, pump stations, and city water distribution. Transaction groups and named queries features (provided by Ignition’s SQL bridge module) were utilized to streamline obfuscated reporting calculations.
